PhotoPhlo is a mobile platform designed to help photographers discover and connect with one another. The project required a complete product delivery cycle—from early concept and UX consultation through mobile development, production infrastructure, and launch deployment. InventBuild partnered closely with the client and design team to translate a rapidly evolving product vision into a stable, production-ready application.
During the early stages of the project, InventBuild worked alongside the design team in a tightly coupled iteration loop. Rather than treating design as a fixed specification, UI concepts were tested directly in working builds, allowing interaction patterns, navigation models, and layout behaviors to be refined quickly. This approach ensured that visual design decisions could be validated against real device behavior, performance constraints, and platform conventions before being finalized.
InventBuild also provided ongoing UX consultation throughout development. Many features required translating conceptual product goals—such as photographer discovery, messaging, and profile exploration—into clear interaction flows that would feel natural on mobile. By evaluating proposed designs in the context of actual user behavior and technical constraints, InventBuild helped shape the final interface while maintaining consistency and usability across the application.
On the engineering side, the application was built as a modern full-stack system. The mobile client was developed using React Native with Expo, backed by a cloud infrastructure that includes authentication, database services, and media storage delivered through Supabase and a global CDN. The architecture was designed for reliability and performance, with careful attention to real-time messaging, push notifications, and scalable but cost-effective storage for user-uploaded images.
The PhotoPhlo mobile app also uses InventBuild's own advanced authenticatio state machine, Supamachine, to ensure a determinstic, reliable, and secure authentication experience.
The result is a production-grade mobile platform delivered through an iterative, collaborative development process. By combining rapid prototyping, UX-informed engineering decisions, and a carefully designed deployment pipeline, InventBuild was able to move the product from concept to launch while maintaining a high standard of code quality, performance, and user experience.
